Alumna Danielle Barr wins 'People's Choice' in American Crew Awards
We are very proud to celebrate the industry achievement and acclaim of tpm alumna Danielle Barr, a stylist at ‘Hooka Celebrity Hair Salon’ who won the ‘People’s Choice’ Award in the Final of American Crew’s Face Off Awards 2010.
The Competition began back in the Spring of 2010, when Danielle began planning her entry for the black and white men's photographic competition, which charges the American Crew Judges with finding the UK’s top men’s hair stylists.
At a glittering catwalk event in Manchester last November, Danielle found herself amongst 20 finalists from over 800 originating entries.
In February this year, during a Gala Dinner, the American Crew Team selected winning looks that represented today’s man as well as the character of the American Crew Brand. Danielle's model (pictured above) was selected amongst the 4 winning finalists for the People's Choice award, voted by sponsor Asahi Beer.
Talking to our Marketing Team, Tutor-Assessor Catherine Roberts commented that Danielle’s achievement is an inspiration to our current apprentice barbers and hairdressers; this is what can achieved through determination and hard work; we’re all very proud of Danielle here at tpm.
