One of three directors of the company, I have responsibility for finance, performance, contracts & health & safety.
I left full-time education without any formal qualifications, and worked in a variety of junior and then senior posts, giving me a broad experience in the world of business spanning administration, bookkeeping and accounts, travel agency management, sales and staff management.
In 1983 I became a trainer with a leading local training company, teaching secretarial and business skills. During this time I studied for a BA in Business Studies at Liverpool John Moores University, and undertook many qualifications related to training. I became general manager of the training company where I remained for 16 years. I joined TPM in 1999, and along with the two other current directors, acquired the company in 2001.
My overriding passion has always been to deliver the best quality training to our young people, and provide opportunities for them to start building careers. After a quarter of a century in the industry I’ve seen many examples of young people overcoming great difficulties to realise their full potential.
I have such pride in TPM. We have some of the best staff in the industry who deliver training to the highest possible standards. Much of our work is innovative and sits on the cutting edge of our industry, particularly in the area of inclusiveness.
