I first heard about tpm in 2006 when one of their consultants contacted us. At that time we just had one day nursery in Irby, Wirral. We were dissatisfied with the standard of other training providers we had used and began to use tpm’s training services; accessing foundation and advanced childcare qualifications for staff.
My business benefits from this type of training because it ensures our Apprentices and staff are provided with appropriate support to fulfil their role as nursery practitioners. We are a growing business and have added 2 additional Day Nursery sites in Moreton and Spital; our Apprentices typically become full time staff and supervisors.
Over 5 years we have qualified 25 Apprentices and 6 Advanced Apprentices averaging a 70% success rate. We have successfully appointed 1 supervisor, 1 baby room supervisor and 4 nursery practitioners from our apprentice candidates.
As a business owner what I value most about tpm is that they set very high standards for learners and all tpm staff are consistent, supportive and very professional. My nursery managers and workplace mentors are regularly kept up to date with learner’s progress and they inform me monthly.
tpm are consistent, methodical and professional; staff have good communication skills and build good relationships. I would certainly recommend tpm over other training providers that we have used, and stress their consistent high standards.
