Celebrating the Life of Apprentice Charlotte Churchill

Childcare Apprentice Charlotte Churchill will long be remembered by staff and students at tpm. Director Brian Quinn reported: ‘Charlotte’s short but vibrant life has touched many here at tpm, the news that Charlotte had died in a car accident had a devastating effect on our College and in particular the staff and learners of the Childcare Programme’.

Staff and learners at tpm celebrated the life of Charlotte last week with the following tribute put together by her Personal Assessor, Louise Hazely and Teacher, Steven Clark:

“Charlotte was a valuable member of my class who never had a bad word to say about anyone or anything.  She was enthusiastic and loveable and her smile could light up the room. She had a knack for making me smile and laugh, and was never miserable.  She was popular with the learners and staff alike. 

Louise and I agree that she had a fantastic nature with the children in her care and was committed to her roles and responsibilities when we visited her in her nursery and always gave 100% in her practical observations.  She recently completed her technical certificate and was overjoyed to pass her final exam.  She was an absolute credit to her family with the way she conducted herself when she attended tpm, and was always polite and courteous towards me and the other members of staff that she came into contact with.

We are left in no doubt that Charlotte was on the way to becoming a fantastic childcare practitioner and it was a pleasure to teach and assess her.”
