Alumnus Jon Wraight wins the prestigious L'Oreal Professionnel Young Colourist Award

tpm are very proud to announce the stunning achievement of alumnus Jon Wraight, a stylist at ‘Hooka Celebrity Hair Salon’ has won the L’Oréal Professionnel Young Colourist Award; a category in the hairdressing industry’s longest running and most fashion-led national hairdressing competition – The L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy.  Jon was one of just five hairdressers under 25 years of age that made it through from this region to the Young Colourist Award category with this stunning photographic model entry.

Brand new for 2011, this creative award has been completely reinvented to seek out not one, as in previous years, but seven of the UK’s most talented young hairdressers. Only one lucky hairdresser has been chosen from each of the regions to form the exciting ‘L’Oréal Colour Academy 2011’.

‘Great British Hairdresser’ Chris Williams comments; The Young Colourist category is really exciting this year, it’s amazing to get an insight into the technical colour skills and see the level of work that has gone into the model look. The prize of forming the first ever L’Oreal Colour Academy is enormous as it will help to develop young technicians and winning an amazing accolade will only be the beginning.

The seven winners of the L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy – Young Colourist Award will be announced during the prestigious Grand Final event on 4th July inside the Grosvenor House Ballroom, Park Lane, London.

Jon and the other six celebrated young colourists will come together to form the L’Oréal Colour Academy 2011 and will go on to receive a year filled with career opportunities specifically tailored to develop them into the colour icons of the future.
