80% Overall Learner Success Rate in 2010-11

As we review performance and effectiveness over the last year, data measures evidence that overall 80% of tpm’s learners achieved their Apprenticeship Frameworks in 2010-11.

The Company's overall success rate is a cumulative reflection of good and outstanding achievements across each of its learning programmes. Business and Administration learners achieved an 83% overall success rate, Childcare learners achieved an overall success rate of 84%, whilst 70% of Hairdressing learners successfully achieved their awards.

Achievement rates amongst the diverse student groups, for example learners receiving ‘learning’ or ‘social’ support are also 80%, whilst 86% of learners from a black or racial minority achieved, which means that these learners receive the personalised learning support and differentiation they need to achieve.

Overall 73% of learners achieved on-time as planned which is a significant improvement and the result of personalised learning and better and more efficient targeting with learners. The overall gap for on-time achievements has now closed to 7%.

Learner Support Manager, Paula Ebden stated that ‘…again this year better targeting and a more personalised, individual and tailored approach for key skills and learning support has proved very effective; we’re delighted at learners results this year, especially the on-time achievement rates'.
