As part of our continuing Learner Involvement Strategy at tpm, we put out our Learner Voice again and had the majority of our younger employee’s in the internet lounge engaging with our learners to get their views, about the courses and facilities provided by tpm and showed them how they can offer their opinions and make regular contributions.
This particular survey (one of several topical surveys to run throughout the year) allowed learners to give their opinions on what they liked most and least about their training company. 97 responses were received from learners who currently attend the centre and the top three responses to each question are as follows:
"What I like most about tpm"
1. (41%) The friendly, helpful and supportive Staff.
2. (38%) The methods and styles of teaching and learning.
3. (23%) The building and facilities.
"What you would you change about tpm"
1. (68%) Nothing to improve; It's good the way it is.
2. (25%) Longer breaks and shorter K/S classes.
3. (8%) Changes to learning times and styles.
Janet Smart the company’s Quality Improvement Manager, commented "What great results – the Learner Voice clearly shows that improvements made over the past year have had an impact on the service provided by tpm.”
