There are 6 steps to becoming an apprentice with tpm
Step 1: Contact us
Phone us on 0151 709 6000 or email email@example.com to arrange an appointment to come in and find out more about apprenticeships at tpm.
Step 2: Appointment at tpm
At your appointment, we tell you about our apprenticeships and you get a chance ask any questions. We ask you to complete an application form. This tells us about your education, any special support you need, and what career you are interested in.
Step 3: Employer applications and interviews
We help you apply for apprenticeship positions with local employers we work with. If you are offered an interview, we will help you prepare for this.
Step 4: Initial assessment
Before you start your apprenticeship, we ask you to do a simple assessment on a computer. This tells us what support and resources to build into your individual training programme. It also makes sure you don’t waste time on your apprenticeship going over skills you already have.
Step 5: Induction
This is an introduction to your apprenticeship and training with tpm. This is when we let you know what is expected of you and what support you can get.
Step 6: Start work and training
You will usually start your employment before your training begins. Once employed, you will be signed onto your training programme and given a timetable outlining when to come into the tpm training centre for weekly training sessions.
